🔹 Project Summary

This self-promotional motion design piece introduces Vintage Veemo, a playful alter ego of the VEEMO brand identity. Styled as a nostalgic infomercial, the video blends humour with self-awareness to communicate personality, design range, and creative direction. It explores how retro visual language can be repurposed as a distinct and memorable form of self-branding.

🔹 Purpose

The promo aims to showcase technical skills in motion graphics, editing, and storytelling, while also setting a confident tone for the VEEMO brand. By referencing vintage aesthetics and low-budget commercial formats, the piece breaks away from traditional showreels — offering a more character-led, narrative-driven introduction to the designer’s voice.

🔹 Design Direction

The visual approach draws heavily from late 90s aesthetics: VHS textures, bold typography, over-saturated palettes, and lo-fi transitions. These stylistic choices are paired with contemporary motion design techniques to create a balance between parody and polish. The concept was developed through moodboards, storyboards, and animation tests, and refined into a final piece that captures both the humour and strategy behind the VEEMO identity
